Delta Air lines will resume nonstop seasonal service between New York's JFK and Rio de Janeiro next winter.

Service will restart on December 19, 2019 through March 9, 2020 boosting holiday season and Carnival travel.

For the third winter season in a row, Rio-JFK route will be operated by Boeing 767-300 aircraft including 25 Delta One flat-bed seats.

Delta says it is one of its most successful routes for both the business and leisure markets.

"We remain committed to the Brazilian market and continue strengthening our alliance with GOL - Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes, our partner in Brazil," said Fabio Camargo, Delta's director for Brazil.

Delta operates more than 200 flights a day to nearly 90 worldwide destinations from New York JFK.
