India's largest budget carrier IndiGo has confirmed a launch date of November 15 for its 12th international destination.
The carrier will fly daily to Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur from Delhi and Bengaluru.
KL is a key business and leisure market for the airline, it says.
"Malaysia provides a complete package for business travellers, holiday makers, the meeting and conference segment. We see great potential on the India-Malaysia route due to the extensive cultural, business and tourism links between the two countries," said William Boulter, chief commercial officer at IndiGo.
"IndiGo will continue to expand its network to meet the requirements of both business and leisure travellers wherever they demand it. It is our constant endeavour to provide more flexibility of choice to our customers," Boulter.
India's largest carrier by market share, IndiGo now operates more than 1,000 daily flights serving nearly 50 domestic cities.
