Three new destinations have been added to Jet2's Stansted schedule for summer 2019.

Bourgas in Bulgaria, Chania in Crete and Izmir in Turkey will all be new to the network.

Jet2 is also increasing frequencies on other popular summer sun routes, including the Canary Islands, Croatia, and Cyprus.

In total, Jet2 and its tour operation Jet2holidays have increased capacity by 18% at the London airport, representing a doubling in capacity since the base was launched in 2017.

From May 2019, the company will operate two weekly flights, on Monday and Thursday, to Bourgas.

The new Crete route will fly every Tuesday and Friday and Izmir will operate Monday and Thursday.

CEO Steve Heapy said: "In just our third summer of operation at London Stansted, we will have 36 destinations and over 1.7 million seats on sale, making this our third biggest base.

"Such success at London Stansted Airport is only possible thanks to our loyal customers, and it shows that our great value package holidays are a huge hit in the South of England."
