Marriott International has signed an agreement to bring luxury brand St. Regis to Australia.
The St. Regis Melbourne is slated for a 2022 opening as part of the mixed-use tower Flinders Bank.
The 168-room hotel will take residence on level two to 11 of the 33-story building, located within easy reach of the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and the CBD.
The new-build hotel is owned by Century Group Aus and interiors will be designed by Australian design firm Chada.
The hotel joins Marriott's luxury pipeline in Australia which includes three upcoming Ritz Carlton properties in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
The company has 24 hotels open in Australia including five in Melbourne under The Westin, Sheraton, Four Points, Element and Marriott brands.
