AccorHotels has tapped local firm CT Corporation for 30 new hotels across Indonesia.
CT Corporation CEO, Chairal Tanjung, and AccorHotels' COO for Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, Garth Simmons have signed a strategic agreement which will see up to 30 properties with a combined inventory of about 6,000 across multiple Indonesian cities.
"In recent discussions we have agreed on a strategic partnership. We will open 30 new hotels," said Chairal.
"We could not find a better operator of chain hotels than AccorHotels. AccorHotels is a well-known group of hotels and CT Corporation is known as a lifestyle company."
CT Corporation owns and operates the Trans Studio complex in Bandung which includes the Accor managed Ibis Bandung Trans Studio, and the new partnership will follow a similar template in integrated lifestyle, entertainment and hotel developments.
"Our longterm partnership with AccorHotels shows our commitment to develop integrated theme park hotels in strategic locations to provide more entertainment options for travellers and families," said Chairul.
"Today's partnership agreement marks another milestone in accelerating of AccorHotels' robust expansion in strengthening its position as the leader of hospitality industry in Indonesia," Simmons said.
